You can choose a hotel in, or close to, a resort with places to eat, drink and experience some nightlife, or you can go for one on its own, located on a lovely beach, where you can relax and enjoy each other’s company. Most hotels will offer some entertainment in the evenings if you want.
I believe three resorts are the best places to stay in Fuerteventura for couples: Corralejo, Costa Calma/Jandia and Caleta De Fuste.
Corralejo – A lively cosmopolitan town with many bars and restaurants. You will find the beautiful dunes beaches just outside. You can take trips to Lobos Island by ferry, catamaran, or day trips to Lanzarote on a ferry. There are surf, kite surf and SUP (stand-up paddle) schools for the adventurous.
Costa Calma/Jandia/Morro Jable – This long sandy beach area (20 miles long) in the south of the island is very popular with German tourists. However, an increasing number of British tourists seem to be going there. Many of the hotels are right on the beach. It would be particularly suitable for couples who want to stay in the hotel in the evenings and spend the days relaxing on the beaches.
Caleta de Fuste – is a purpose-built resort that is very popular with British tourists. Most hotels are found along the seafront, with many bars and restaurants behind. There is a nice marina area with catamaran trips and an “underwater” trip.

All bedrooms are fully air-conditioned, including a TV, pillow menu, and minibar. Some bedrooms or suites have spectacular sea views from a private balcony or a seating area. Barceló Corralejo Bay – Adults Only
The Barceló Corralejo Bay is an “Adults Only” hotel located 80 m from Corralejo Beach and close to Corralejo Shopping Centre.
The spa includes a relaxation pool with hot tub seats, hydromassage seats and waterfalls, and a maze of showers. There is also a toning pool, Turkish steam bath, and an indoor and outdoor relaxation area.
All bedrooms at the Barceló Corralejo Bay have a balcony and free wifi.
Hotel guests can enjoy healthy food at the hotel’s buffet restaurant, which also hosts themed dinners and in addition, offers room service during the day. There is also a poolside bar with a cocktail menu.
