Esquinzo is a beautiful beach destination in Fuerteventura. You have several options to reach this lovely spot, depending on where you’re coming from and your preferred mode of transport.
Navigating from Nearby Locations
You’re in luck if you’re staying in Morro Jable or Jandia! These towns are quite close to Esquinzo. From Morro Jable, it’s just a short 10-minute drive north along the coast. Jandia is even closer, sitting right next to Esquinzo.
For those in La Oliva or El Cotillo in the north, you’ll need to plan for a longer journey. It’s about a 1.5-hour drive from these northern towns to Esquinzo. The route takes you down the island’s spine, offering lovely views of Fuerteventura’s rugged landscape.
Remember to use your GPS or an automated tracking system to help you navigate. The roads are well-maintained, but some parts can be winding.
Transport Options and Advice
You have a few choices for getting to Esquinzo:
- Bus: This is a budget-friendly option. Tiadhe runs buses from Puerto del Rosario to Club Marabu in Esquinzo every 30 minutes. The journey takes about 1 hour and 50 minutes and costs £5-12.
- Taxi: More expensive but faster and more direct. From Puerto del Rosario, expect to pay around £70-80 for the trip.
- Car hire: Gives you the most freedom to explore. You can rent a car at the airport or in major towns.
- Shuttle: Some hotels offer shuttle services. Check with your accommodation.
If you’re on a budget, the bus is your best bet. Hiring a car is ideal for comfort and convenience, especially if you plan to explore more of the island.
