How I clean my pool
If you have bought a house and want to know how to clean a swimming pool then I hope this video helps.
The house we bought here in Fuerteventura has a swimming pool – well frankly we would not have bought one without, or without the ability to add one, as life would be less pleasant here without one.
Therefore I had never had to maintain one before, the closest being looking after our hot tub in the UK. After some trial and error, and asking the advice of a few friends with pools, I developed a routine that seems to work well. From start to finish usually takes me about 45 minutes.
I quite enjoy cleaning the pool. It is quite therapeutic on a nice warm day and satisfying when it is gleaming.
In this video, I deliberately left the pool to get dirtier than I normally would so that you could more easily see the difference.
Probably the hardest thing is not the actual cleaning but maintaining the correct chemical balance. Mind you, having said that, I think some people get way too hung up about this as it isn’t quite as crucial as you may think.
